LOD is selected for the intended use. Higher detail increases field, modelling and review effort and should be specified only where necessary.

Yes. Deliverables can include native Revit models, IFC and registered point-cloud formats subject to the project standard.
Can Scan to BIM identify deviations?
Yes. Captured point clouds can be compared with design geometry to visualise and quantify selected deviations.
